My Life in Pink
We're living in one room while we look for a new house. We don't have cable so we watch DVDs all the time. Well, not all the time for me, because I have to work. But at night and on the weekends we watch lots of movies or sometimes TV series. (I kept Netflix).
Today I watched
This movie could be a prequel to Transamerica. It is a sweet story about
just being yourself and about letting your kids be themselves. Imagine what it would be like to feel you were born the wrong gender. Growing up is hard enough. It would be so sad to feel you could not be the person you felt you were inside and it would be so sad to be teased and ridiculed for who you were. He is a talented actor and has amazingly cute dimples.

hi, it's a great film isn't it! did you know we're creating a stage version of it for August? there isn't an adaptation as such but all the actors are starting from the film as their 'inspiration'. and there are 30 local people acting on stage with them - so those scenes where the neighbours really turn against the family should be intense! drop me a line if you want to know more davidroots@youngvic.org
