I feel like I've been living in a cave for the last two weeks. We had our annual fundraising auction at work and getting it together is really a huge ordeal.

Sam wanted to make a donation, because he was a student there from age two until last year, when he graduated from sixth grade. His donation was a pair of sneakers, handpainted/illustrated by him. The winning bidder had the choice of high-tops or slips-ons, in their shoe size and they had the choice of one color along with black and white. He painted a sample pair to display.

Needless to say, his shoes were the stars of the silent auction. Everyone loved them and wanted them. The winning bid was $125.00. I think that's amazing for his first attempt. He got orders to do more and he's pretty happy. I'm really glad the auction is over. It stresses me out way too much, but I'm so happy Sam did the shoes. It made it so much more fun for me.

It's not the greatest but I think it's a good way to start out. If things get really big for him then I'll get him a web site of his own.
