Driving
My commute is nothing short of amazing. Once I get up and get ready in the morning, I actually can't wait to get on the road. It helps having a fun car, but mostly it's just the scenery and the beauty at every turn. There is one area where there is a place to pull off the road and take in the views. It's usually dark on my way back home, but in the morning I love to look out over the hills to the ocean and see what it looks like. It's always different. Sometimes it's crystal clear and I can see the ocean and Morro Rock in the distance. Sometimes it's thick with fog and I can't see two feet in front of me. The days are beginning to get longer and it is staying light a little later each day, so the drive home is starting to get better. If I leave early enough, I can watch the sun set as I drive home.
So, even though our living arrangements are a little bit cramped and there is a bit of tension with so many people in one house, I really love where I live. I've come to the conclusion that we should look for a house on the coast. I've never liked the heat inland and I love living near the ocean. I know the gas is a huge problem and no one in their right mind should choose to live 30 miles away from work if they don't absoulutely have to, but life is short and I think it would be better to do what feels good.
Oh, and this was the view on my way home from the grocery store, on Highway 1. Sweet.
